UpScrolled's verification service is a subscription service available to members who pay a monthly or yearly fee. It allows users to confirm their identity on the platform and receive a blue checkmark next to their profile name.
How to get verified:
The self-verification process has three steps:
Subscribe via the UpScrolled app.
Submit your government-issued identification and take a selfie.
Await final manual (human) verification.
Detailed steps:
Navigate to your profile page by tapping your profile icon in the lower right corner of the app.
Select the Settings icon at the top of your profile.
Select Verified Account under "Your account." Your subscription status is displayed here.
For a new sign-up, select Subscribe, choose monthly or yearly, then tap Subscribe & Pay.
To complete verification, select Verify Identity within Step 2: Identity Verification. The app will open the Veriff platform. Select Let's go! to begin.
Take a photo of your government-issued ID (license, passport, or national ID card). The app may prompt you to photograph the back too.
Take a selfie — ensure your face fits within the oval on screen and hold still.
Once complete, verification updates automatically. No further action is needed from you.
Good to know:
UpScrolled does not store your identity verification information. The entire process is handled by our third-party partner, Veriff, in accordance with their privacy and security standards.
How do I request a refund?
All in-app purchase charges are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time — cancel at least 24 hours before your next renewal to avoid being charged for the next billing period. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
To cancel: go to Verified Account in your profile settings and select Manage Subscription.
If your verification is rejected:
UpScrolled does not provide explanations for rejected verifications.
You can resubmit once you've reviewed the requirements and ensured all information is accurate. In some cases, re-applying may not be accepted.
If rejected, you may submit a refund request through the app store where you made your purchase:
