Some troubleshooting FAQs include:

What do I do if I’m running into connectivity problems?

  • If you have access to a virtual private network (VPN), using it to connect to the platform may yield better results as a potential workaround. When using third party programs, UpScrolled encourages precaution and care in selecting programs that offer a safe user experience.

Does UpScrolled have a web or desktop version available?

  • UpScrolled is currently only available as a mobile app — we don't yet offer a web or desktop version. We hear you on the demand for one and will share updates here as new options become available.

  • In the meantime, Chromebook users can download the Android version of UpScrolled directly from the Google Play Store as a workaround for using the app on a larger screen.

What is the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy?

  • If you have discovered a security vulnerability you want to share with us, please review our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy page, which outlines our approach to handling these cases.

  • Vulnerability reports are managed through mutual trust, respect, transparency, and common good. More info on how we prioritize these values in this process can be found on the policy page.

  • To submit a vulnerability report, you can fill out the submission form found on our policy page.

Why is verification available for individuals but not for businesses?

  • UpScrolled’s verification process is currently available to individuals as a subscription service (for more information, see our article on how to sign up for verification). This program is not intended for use by government or business organizations. In the meantime, we may manually provide verification to organizations.

  • Please keep an eye out for future releases and updates that allow organizations and businesses to be verified.

  • Verification is designed to maintain trust and authenticity on the platform. Even if you meet the eligibility criteria, verification is not automatically granted.

  • Good to know for organizations:

  • Currently, every application is manually reviewed by our team to assess authenticity, notability, and alignment with platform values.

  • If you believe your organization is being impersonated on UpScrolled, please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected].

  • You must have a real and demonstrable connection to the organization in question.

  • Currently, verification for organizations is provided only to public figures to prevent impersonation. UpScrolled also recognizes trademarks for this purpose.

  • We do not offer individual feedback on declined applications in order to preserve the integrity of the process.

Why is verification no longer based on engagement criteria like follower counts?

  • We recently updated our verification system to make it more fair, scalable, and independent. Rather than relying on follower counts or activity metrics from third-party platforms like Instagram or X, we've moved to an identity-based model. This means verification is now available to everyone — not just those with large audiences — and it's a more consistent, automated process. Ultimately, this ensures that a verified badge on UpScrolled genuinely reflects who someone is, not how many followers they have.

Will users who were previously verified under the old system keep their status?

  • Yes! If you were verified under our previous system, your status will carry over automatically — no action needed on your part. The only circumstance in which you would lose your verified badge is if you change your handle or display name in your profile settings, which would require going through the new Veriff identity verification process.

Why did the application force me to update?

  • Occasionally, UpScrolled will prompt users to update the app in order to continue having the best experience accessing the app.

  • This may be for several reasons, including bug fixes, safety features, and other necessary platform improvements. If this happens, users will have to open the app store on their device and download the app update before reopening UpScrolled and continuing to access their account.
