How Does Verification Work on UpScrolled?

Written by Ryan Quinn

Verification on UpScrolled is currently selective and granted only to public figures to prevent impersonation. Every application is manually reviewed by our team — it is not automatic, even if you meet the basic eligibility criteria.

Who Can Apply for Verification?

To be eligible, you must:

- Have a public account

- Use your real identity

- Meet platform standards for activity and originality

- Be a public figure or notable account

How Are Applications Reviewed?

Our team reviews each application manually to assess authenticity, notability, and alignment with platform values.

Verification is currently confirmed through other social platforms. We plan to roll out our own independent verification model in the future.

What If My Application Is Declined?

You can reapply in the future as your presence and engagement grow. We don't provide individual feedback on declined applications to preserve the integrity of the review process.

What's Coming Next?

We're building a self-verification tool that will let all users confirm their identity — automated and near-instant.

Follow our official UpScrolled accounts or check back here for updates as this becomes available.
