Removing a follower is a tool users can take advantage of to maintain their privacy controls on Even if your profile is public, you can choose who follows you. You can remove a follower directly from your followers list.
Steps:
Go to your Followers tab on your profile.
Tap the X button on the right side of the follower's name.
Select Remove to confirm.
Once removed, your posts will no longer appear in that user's feed and they will not be listed among your followers.
Good to know:
If your profile is public, the removed user can still see your profile and content and interact with your posts.
To fully restrict a user from seeing or interacting with your content, use the Block function
