Videos are an excellent way to share moments and express yourself on UpScrolled. UpScrolled crops videos to specific aspect ratios to ensure they display correctly on all devices.
How to post videos:
Tap the + button and select Video post or Text post.
Text posts allow up to 4 videos, each at least 6 seconds long. Tap the small video icon in the lower left corner of the drafting page.
Video posts are one video from your device library or recorded directly with the camera.
When adding a video, you can add up to 50 clips from your device library to an editable timeline. Trim clips by dragging start/end points, use the Split icon to divide a clip in two, or use the Trim icon for precise adjustments.
On the edit page, add effects, playback speed, filters, blur, text, GIFs/stickers, music, or voice-over.
Text post: add a topic, location, mark as sensitive, or mark as AI-generated. Tap Post in the top right to finish.
Video post: select Next, then add a caption, topic, tag users, location, download permission, sensitive flag, AI-generated flag, and ALT text. Tap Post to share.
Long videos may take time to process. Don't lock your screen or switch apps while uploading.
How video playback works:
You cannot currently zoom in on a video or make it full screen.
The red bar at the bottom shows the video's progress and runtime.
To pause, tap the video once in the centre.
Videos play automatically while scrolling, but may start muted.
To unmute: tap the speaker icon in the lower right corner, or adjust your volume, which will automatically unmute.
To adjust playback speed: tap the left side to cycle through slower speeds (0.5x, 0.75x), tap the right side for faster speeds (1.5x, 2x). Tap a third time on either side to return to 1x.
Please note:
Supported video aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 4:5.
Videos can be uploaded at any bitrate and resolution. Multiple versions are created automatically to match each viewer's network speed.
