I didn't receive my email verification code. What should I do?

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding email verification codes and what steps to check if you're having trouble confirming your email address.

If you don't get your verification code, please troubleshoot via the following checks:

  • Check your email address. Make sure it's typed correctly. A small typo can block delivery, and check to make sure there are no spaces included in the text box.

  • Check your spam/junk folder. Codes are sometimes filtered there.

  • Check your email system settings, particularly if you use a a corporate or privately hosted email domain, as it is possible the server may be blocking automated system messages from arriving.

  • If you have any email aliasing or forwarding turned on, please check it is functioning as expected and can receive other automated codes.

  • Disposable email domains and temporary email addresses are blacklisted from signup on UpScrolled. The system should prevent you from listing these emails, but if you registered it before April 2026 with a temporary email, this may be the reason a renewal code can't arrive. In this case, you may need to create a new account.

  • You may be experiencing connectivity problems. Certain governments or Internet Service Providers (ISPs) may restrict access to UpScrolled, and our team is looking into restoring connectivity.

    • Please let us know your location and internet provider details if all your other apps appear to be connecting and functioning normally. This will help us investigate the issue more closely.

    • Depending on the laws on where you're located, you may want to try connecting and signing up with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) turned on to see if this allows the email code to be sent. If you connected originally via a VPN, try turning it off.

  • If none of the above steps are working, please select the Forgot password? option. The system should pick up where you left off and generate a new code.

Special cases:

  • Proton Mail users:

Proton requires you to verify your account with another email and phone number. If not verified, Proton may block transactional emails. Update your Proton settings or contact Proton support.

  • Mailfence users:

Some users have reported issues with Mailfence blocking our emails. Contact Mailfence support and let them know you cannot receive emails from [email protected] and [email protected].

Good to know:

  • Email codes are valid for 24 hours only. After that time, you will need to generate a new code in order to confirm your email.

    • If you didn't finish signing up and don't have access to the email code, but it has been less than 24 hours, use the "Forgot password" function to generate a new code.

    • If you didn't finish signing up and it has been more than 24 hours, the system should behave as if it has never seen the email before and allow you to sign up like normal. If you receive a message telling you the email is already registered, please try using the "Forgot password" function to generate a code and finish signing up.

  • Please don't send the code by email to our team. We are not able to confirm anyone's account, as we do not have access to the system that asks for your confirmation code details.

  • We are not able to send a code by SMS (text message), WhatsApp, or by any method other than the automatic email that is generated when you sign up originally or select "Forgot Password." Our technical team does not have access to anyone's account and support is only able to help troubleshoot, but cannot restore access ourselves.
